昨日盘初，英国公布的至8Three months in a monthRICS房价指数疲软，英镑/美元维持弱势，而市场对英国央行利率已经触顶的预期，令英镑受压，英镑/美元下探2.0245寻得支持后反弹，升至日内新高2.0347。但最终未能进一步突破2.0350阻力而回落。尾盘有消息称英国抵押贷款公司Northern Rock 请求英国央行给予金融援助，汇价出现大幅下跌，在清淡交易中被放大，汇价跌至2.0220下方。市场对英国央行下次利率变动是减息的猜测越来越重，推升英镑意愿不强，而套息交易大幅平仓，可能带动后市高息货币英镑再度下滑。上方阻力位在2.0270、2.0300、2.0350，下方支持位在2.0160、2.0100、2.0060。
