美俄关系影响避险资产
俄罗斯周三发表强硬声明，回应美国和波兰公布达成协议，美国的导弹防御系统部署扩大到波兰领土上，声明称俄罗斯将不得不作出反应，且不仅循外交抗议途径。另外，高盛周三重申其对美国crude oil年底价格的预估为每桶149美元，称较美元上涨而言，强劲的基本面是一个更为重要的推动因素。
美元陷入整固阶段，伺机再组升势
对房利美和房贷美资本情况的担忧重燃大大激发了金融市场的不确定性，或令经济数据的影响黯然失色。因担心金融系统稳健性及其对经济的拖累，投资者被迫坚持美债等相对安全的投资。美元结束两日跌势上涨，因市场认为全球经济成长放缓可能促使美国以外国家降息，周三汇市交投清淡，美元守住涨幅，尽管油价反弹至约每桶115美元。美元指数逼近周二触及的今年高位，整体认知是经济和利率前景仍对美元有利，美元仍处于逢低买进的阶段。日本和欧洲的经济数据愈发表明这些地区的经济成长前景恶化，令投资人预期欧洲央行和英国央行可能及早降息。如此举措可能令收益率吸引力转为对美元有利，因预计美国联邦储备理事会(FED)将在明年开始升息，只要美国金融业不再有大的震动。美元指数周二最高报77.24，离今年高位77.41。
