API 是一个反应美国crude oil库存的数据，来自美国的原油协会(属于民间组织)。
     于北京时间每周三凌晨4:30(Winter time5:30branch)公布，数据包括原油、汽油、蒸馏油库存。 
这些数据按照产品和地区反映美国石油消耗及需求，同时能监控美国原油生产和原油进口及成品油。从而指示美国经济与通胀，对未来油价及美元有一定的影响。 
一般情况下，如果API原油库存减少，表明美国经济活跃原油需求旺盛，对于油价来说是利多的。油价上涨，美元下跌，gold价格上涨。 
WhenAPI原油库存增加，则可能是美国经济不及预期，造成原油积压，对油价来说是利空的。油价下跌，美元上涨，黄金价格下跌。 
原油库存的变化其实也能反映出美国政府对当前油价的态度。如果战略原油库存大幅增加，表明美国政府认可当前的油价，则会储备原油资源，导致供需矛盾进一步激活，从而推升油价上涨。 
API原油库存数据是美国石油协会调查公布的数据，属于民间数据。EIA原油库存是由美国能源信息署公布的数据，属于官方数据。API数据在EIA原油库存之前公布，所以API数据对预测EIA原油库存具有一定的参考作用，投资者可以结合APIAndEIAthis2个数据一起判断油价走势。
