纽西兰央行宣布加息四份一厘至8.25厘，指出紧绌劳工市场、产能使用率高企、油价及食品价格趋升均助燃通胀压力。央行行长Bollard指出，近期美元弱势及纽西兰借贷需求强劲促使纽元升至中期不可持续的水平，现时借款需求已见初步转平缓迹象，如可持续则资源使用压力亦可放缓下来，认为连续加息四次已足以抑压通胀压力。消息反映8.25厘可能已是本轮加息周期顶位，早已见利差交易平盘催升的日元给澳纽币添上更多压力，不过有七成市场人士估计澳洲央行会在8月加息，估计澳元仍有一点支持。技术分析显示澳元回升到0.8835有阻力，之後回吐到0.8730有支持，上落後後市甚至可升向0.7945或甚至0.8980and0.9050阻力位，不过亦可能反覆考验0.8660支持位及0.8595/8635支持区间才触底回升。
