前十大汽车品牌的组成与上月相同，前三名依序为Toyota、Volkswagen、Honda，中国车厂比亚迪则取代Fordbecome8月份汽车销量的第四大品牌，比亚迪因车款已全数转为新能源车，故中国市场内需不佳情况对其影响较小，8月份月成长5%，市占率与第三名的Honda仅差0.1%，不过因为日系车厂还有如东南亚等市场的贡献，故比亚迪要在全球市场范围内超越Honda，关键是在海外市场的扩张速度。

Ford则因其欧洲与美国市场销量较上月减少，排名下滑至第6名，销量月衰退6.7%。

虽然秋季车款上市将有助于新车销售，但各地的变数仍多，包含美国汽车工人工会（UAW）罢工尚未结束；OPEC+盟国crude oil减产等，随着第四季到来，各车厂将尽全力确保生产顺畅、满足订单以及刺激年底销售，尽可能减缓经济变化导致订单能见度降低的冲击。
