据英国媒体报道，英国国防大臣 华莱士 表示需要增加110亿英镑（约合910亿元人民币）的额外国防预算来应对外部威胁。华莱士表示，和财政部争取更多的国防预算就像一场战争，下个月英国财政部将公布预算结果。而《泰晤士报》报道，英国国防部在申请增加预算的同时，却在浪费预算支出。
