      Gold rose sharply against the US dollar last Friday and broke through the thousand nine barrier1918.71Nearby, the gold price was supported by the signs of US inflation peaking, the expectation of the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates sharply cooling down, and the tone of the Federal Reserve officials to slow down the increase of interest rates.

       In terms of positive factors

       1. US inflation shows signs of peaking: according to the data released by the US Department of Labor last week, the US12Monthly consumer price indexCPIMonth-on-month decline0.1%，这是逾两年半时间来次下降，给市场带来了一些希望，即通胀现在处于持续下降的通道，增强了市场押注美联储将放缓加息步伐，支持金价。

        2. 美联储大幅升息预期降温：费城联储主席 哈克 率先表示美联储未来加息将转为25个基点增量。与此同时，里士满联储主席 Balgin 也提到，在美联储努力压低通胀之际，更加谨慎地引导是合理的。而亚特兰大联储主席 Bostic 上周四也表示，数据显示12月通胀放缓确实是个好消息，表明通胀正在放缓，可能使美联储在即将召开的会议上将升息幅度缩减至25Basis points.
