　　英国财相承认英国经济衰退“已经在发生”
　　
Local time5month12日傍晚，英国财政大臣里希·苏纳克在接受英国广播公司采访时被问到“英国经济是否在向衰退方向发展”，苏纳克承认，英国经济衰退“已经在发生”。
　　
　　他说“我们知道很多人失业，我们也看到全球信贷索赔在发生，这不是我们想看到的——但它已经发生了;企业在停业，人们在失去工作”。
　　
　　苏纳克表示，政府正在尽力挽救更多的企业，也正因为如此，英国政府才在5month12日决定，把向750万无法工作的民众提供疫情薪资补助的期限继续延长到10month.
　　
　　5month13日，英国国家统计局将发布2020年第一季度的国民生产总值数据。
　　
　　但由于经济学家仅在连续两个季度经济负增长后才定义地区经济为“衰退”，而2019年英国最后一季度增长持平，所以暂时从技术上来讲英国尚未陷入衰退。
　　
　　但有关统计数据预计，今年第二季度(4Month to6month)英国国民生产总值将下降35%，新冠疫情危机带来的影响才会真正显现。
