据路透社14日报道，美国财政部发言人称，美国财长姆努钦计划近期前往中国进行经贸谈判。该发言人没有透露姆努钦可能的北京行的细节，但表示特朗普计划于6月末在日本举行的20国集团领导人峰会期间与习主席会晤。

美国总统特朗普周二在推特上再度呼吁美联储降息。美联储鹰派的成员之一，堪萨斯城联储主席乔治表示，她反对为了提升通胀而降息，并警告称降息可能带来资产价格泡沫并最终导致经济下滑。目前的通胀水平可能会是的美联储官员和金融市场参与者感到困扰，但在经济增长和就业增长的背景下，它并不需要美联储的政策来回应。
此前，纽约联储主席威廉姆斯在接受采访时称，美国经济处于非常好的位置;货币政策正适宜;美联储接近实现目标;目前为止，关税对提振通胀有比较小的影响;更多的关税将影响通胀和增长，关税可能对通胀产生重大影响。
数据方面，4Month USANFIB小型企业信心指数意外上涨至103.5，而进口和出口价格指数环比上涨0.2%，均低于预期和前值。
