上周五，亚洲股市下跌，令買盤周末前获利了结，澳元/美元下行跌破周四低点0.8950附近。但随后商品价格的高企，给予澳元買盤的动力，澳元/USD Breakthrough0.9000后继续上扬，而道指收盘上涨近80点，也刺激部分套息交易，但澳元/美元并未能突破0.9050/60的关键阻力。尾盘维持在0.9015/50的区间内波动直至收盘。近期数据强劲仍令市场预期澳洲联储将在11月加息，支持澳元，而良好的商品价格前景继续帮助支持澳元。若本周公布的美国数据弱于预期。澳元仍有继续上扬的可能。汇价阻力位于0.9070、0.9100、0.9120, supported by0.9000、0.8950、0.8900。
