周四，中国官方数据显示，10月份制造业活动连续第六个月萎缩，服务业活动降至2016year2月以来的最低水平，再次引发了全球第二大石油消费国对疲弱需求前景的担忧。
与此同时，上周美国原油库存大增约570万桶，远超市场预期，而库欣库存也连续第四周录得增长，增幅约为160Ten thousand barrels.

美国经济分析局公布的数据显示，9月份核心个人消费支出(PCE)物价指数环比持平，不及预期的上涨0.1%, year-on-year increase1.7%，符合预期。同时，个人收入和个人支出环比分别增长0.3%and0.2%，与预期相符。此外，美国10月挑战者裁员人数升至50275人，前值为41557people;初请失业金人数增至21.8万，略高于预期的21.5Ten thousand.
美国总统特朗普周四再度抨击美联储及其主席鲍威尔，称美联储的政策损害了美国的竞争力。特朗普在推特上发文称，“美元和利率正在伤害我们的制造商。我们的利率应该低于德国、日本和所有其他国家。到目前为止，我们是最大、最强大的国家，但美联储让我们处于竞争劣势。中国不是我们的问题，美联储才是!我们无论如何都会赢。”这些言论似乎确实进一步打压了市场人气，10年期美国国债收益率加剧下跌。
