市场人士现在将密切关注交易员对最新贸易/政治消息的反应，预计其可能会在未来几天继续主导油价。美国石油学会(API)通常将于周二发布的每周美国原油库存报告因周一美国劳动节假日而推迟到周三公布，该报告将直接影响油价走势。

不过，全球“去美元化”进展或对美元升势构成压力。今年迄今在美伊等制裁问题相继爆发后，市场几大经济区域在“去美元化”的推进上更有作为，欧盟，伊朗，伊拉克，委内瑞拉，俄罗斯等都是主导力量。尽管美元作为世界结算货币的地位不会很快被取代，但各国为减少美元依赖性正在采取的初步措施表明他们预期后美国时代正在形成，美国被认为是一个日益变化无常的对手和难以预料的盟友。
