美国总统特朗普在本月决定退出核协议，并对伊朗实施最高级别的制裁，可能会限制该OPEC第三大产油国的原油出口，有分析师预计未来六周伊朗石油出口可能急挫30-5010000 barrels/日。另外，委内瑞拉经济危机继续恶化，且该国大选可能会导致美国实施额外的制裁，并导致该国原油产量进一步下降。供应面收紧担忧令市场注意力转向了地缘政治方面，而非基本面，同时推动美国WTI原油期货隔夜突破了72Pass to72.26，布伦特原油期货则突破了80大关，双双刷新了逾三年半高位。


然而，美元维持强势再次限制了油价的上行空间。美指隔夜继续收高，自4month17日以来的涨幅超过了4.5%，市场对美联储6月加息的强烈预期，以及欧元区经济数据疲软打压欧元下跌，推动美元近期走强，同时压制了以美元计价的大宗商品价格，油价因此在刷新逾三年高位后转为震荡回落，抹去了稍早的全部涨幅后收于平盘。


今日亚市开盘后，原油期货窄幅震荡，日内投资者可关注下美国上周石油钻井数，作为美国原油生产的先行指标，若钻井数录得增加，预示着美国国内原油产量将继续升高，并令油价承压。但整体而言，地缘政治因素加剧、美国夏季驾驶季临近以及亚洲需求强劲等因素均利好于油价，多头有望获得更多提振。
