据一了解沙特石油政策的海湾消息人士称，沙特在1The monthly production has been reduced at least48.610000 barrels/Day, to1,00610000 barrels/日。这意味着沙特这一全球最大产油国遵守了11At the end of the monthOPEC达成的减产协议。这提振油价，稍早美国政府报告汽油和馏分油库存猛增拖累油价下滑。

howeverOPEC的减产任务仍然很艰巨。根据路透调查，OPECstay12月的产量远高于达成协议时的水准。12月总产量为342010000 barrels/Day, compared toOPECof325010000 barrels/日的目标高170Ten thousand barrels.
