　　那么为什么黄金总在1月上涨呢？

　　人们给出了几个解释。有人质疑可能是黄金在12月表现疲软，因此新年1月就修复反弹。

　　确实，过去10Year,12月黄金的平均价格出现了轻微下跌，但是这个平均值是被期间几个异常值拉低的，例如2011to2013year12月黄金创下了糟糕表现(分别下跌了9.8%、3.6%and4.1%)。

　　也有人怀疑，1月黄金上涨可能是因为美元走软，因为黄金以美元计价。

　　不过，通过观察历史行情，很快就可以否定这个观点。

　　上述两个观点都不对，究竟怎么看待历年1月金价上涨背后的真正驱动因素呢？

　　一个可能比较靠谱的解释是利率。

　　美国国债收益率在过去9年的一月份中，有七年出现下降，这降低了持有黄金的机会成本，增加了黄金吸引力。

　　这个特征在全年其他月份表现对比之下显得更加突出，因为纵观其他月份，美债收益率涨跌出现情况是比较平均的，10年期国债收益率有53.3%的时间是上升的，而偏偏只有1月录得下降。

    正如上图所示，上金所的溢价往往与伦敦金的价格走势背离，当伦敦金价格下跌时上涨，当伦敦金价格上涨时下跌。在过去10年里，溢价的存在一直促进了中国对伦敦黄金的进口，帮助收紧了全球黄金供应，这可能也解释了为什么黄金价格每年1月都出现上涨。
