据路透报道，政府及船舶追踪数据显示，亚洲主要买家9月对伊朗crude oil的进口量降至32个月低位，主要因中国、韩国和日本在美国对伊朗实施制裁前，大幅削减他们的购买量。具体数据显示，中国、印度、日本和韩国9月进口伊朗原油11310000 barrels/日，较上年同期减少40.9%, for2016year1月以来最低进口量。据知情人士称，日本和韩国已经暂停了伊朗石油进口，但伊朗原油的五大客户中有三家仍在购买其原油，分别为印度、中国和土耳其。印度9月对伊朗原油的进口量较上年同期增加27%to52.7610000 barrels/日，之后可能会继续购买伊朗原油，中国有两大炼油厂也开始停止采购伊朗原油。
