周四下午，沙特能源部长法利赫表示，开始担忧石油库存增加，他表示如果石油库存继续增加，将会对油市平衡有“向下干预”的作用；他还表示不会允许石油库存升至令人担忧的水平。不过据路透报道，法利赫拒绝对油价的预期走势置评，他表示油价由市场力量决定。尽管如此，他这番表态仍有助于提振多头信心。日内美布两油已出现不同幅度增长。此前金十报道曾指出，沙特表示增产只是为了讨好美国，加上法利赫此前表示油价维持在80美元对欧佩克有利，因此美国中期选举之后，油价仍有可能反弹。
